Raunchy: Rihanna gives an 'R rated' show at Radio 1's Big Weekend in Bangor yesterday, where she wore a leather playsuit

Her album is called Rated R so it is no wonder Rihanna put on a racy show at Radio One's Big Weekend.

The 22-year-old strutted around the stage in fishnets, boots and a reggae-inspired leather playsuit with go faster stripes in red, green and yellow and a hood.

The Bajan superstar is used to play huge sellout crowds across the country and she had probably never heard of Bangor, north Wales where the free festival took place.

But as she finished her raunchy set, she yelled out: ''Bangor, I've had so much fun with you guys'.

The Umbrella singer helped bring the weekend to a close with a 40-minute powerhous set, belting out hits including Disturbia and Rude Boy, and giving the audiences flashes of her curvy derriere as she danced.

The singer has spent this month on tour throughout the UK and brought a production which included a full live band and pyrotechnic streamers.

She had been due to headline the mainstage but performed earlier so she could fly to Dublin to perform there.

Rihanna is currently in the throes of the UK leg of her Last Girl On Earth tour.

She arrived in Glasgow last week and plays in Dublin until Wednesday before moving on to North American, where she'll be joined by Ke$ha.

Also on the bill on day two of the festival was British star Pixie Lott who took the huge lineup in her stride.

Over the weekend stars including Cheryl Cole, Alicia Keys and Florence & the Machine and Pendulum were performing.

The blonde songstress belted out hit songs including Mama Do and Boys and Girls on the main stage at the festival in Bangor, north Wales.

The 19-year-old was decked out in all black, managing to combine a mix of fashion trends with lace shorts, a studded leather jacket, a corset and thigh-high boots.

Her trademark platinum blonde hair was worn loose, adorned with cream flowers.t.

Marina & the Diamonds and folk singer Paolo Nutini also performed yesterday, and were followed by big-name acts including JLS and American newcomer Ke$ha.

While there was no shortage of entertainment on stage for the 20,000-strong crowd; there were almost as many celebrities off the stage.

Celebrity guests at the festival included Kelly Rowland, Radio 1 DJ Edith Bowman, Ellie Goulding, who also performed, and recently reunited couple Frankie Sandford of The Saturdays and McFly's Dougie Poynter.

X Factor finalist Diana Vickers was also spotted backstage, her slim frame swamped by loose fitting drawstring shorts and a blue and white striped top.

Popular performances on Saturday included Cheryl Cole's 25-minute set, in which she performed hits such as Fight For This Love and Parachutes.

And Alicia Keys donned an unusual plunging harem-style outfit for her set on stage, during which she performed some of her most famous including Empire State of Mind.
