Rose Byrne slips into her lingerie for the latest issue of GQ Magazine

In the past her roles have included a virginal handmaiden and a duchess, but it seems acting alongside Russell Brand has changed Rose Byrne.

The Australian actress plays the boundary-pushing comedian's girlfriend Jackie Q in Get Him To The Greek.

And in a photoshoot to promote the film Byrne strips down to her underwear, striking sultry poses on a bed.

The 30-year-old Damages actress tells GQ magazine she wore very 'raunchy' outfits in the film, which also stars Jonah Hill.

'My first day on the set, we filmed a video called I Am Jesus,' she said.

'Then another one called African Child. The costumes were raunchy.'

Byrne is currently single, after ending her six-year relationship with Australian writer Brendan Cowell in January.

In the movie her character has a son, Naples, with faded rock star Aldous Snow, played by Brand.

She leaves him and ends up in bed with Metallica rocker Lars Ulrich.

She told website BuzzSugar Brand was a pleasure to work with: 'He was a great scene partner and really professional.

'Obviously he has a reputation that proceeds him - you never know how that's going to be, when you've heard about someone and they've had incidents.

'But on the contrary he was very professional and sweet and amazing at improvising. He's very funny.

'There was some laughing going on but most of the time we were just focused.'
